All students in year 11 12 & 13 were issued with an updated Exam information booklet for 2018-2019 last term.

It is very important that students read through this information andfamiliarisethemselves with the rules and regulations which apply to exams, coursework and controlled assessments, together with equipment required. They should also keep the information safe so they can refer to it during the year.

Information regarding exam dates for Pre Public Exams (PPE's) and external GCSE and GCE exams, will be posted here as they become available, but will just be general date information until exam entries arefinalised.
A reminder that students, other than Sixth Form, should attend all exams in full school uniform. All students should come fully equipped with a black pen, pencil and ruler. They will also require a compass and protractor for theirMathsexams and a calculator for theMathscalculator paper and all their Science exams.
Staying well hydrated during exams is very important, students are allowed to bring a drink with them to exams, but this must be water only, in a clear plastic bottle with any labels removed.
Exams for the academic year 2018-2019:
Summer 2019 – External GCSE’s and GCE’s
The main summer season for external GCSE’s and GCE’s commences on Monday 13thMay2018and runs till approximately Wednesday 26thJune– depending on the subjects/levels students are taking.
Entries for the summer GCSE’s and GCE’s are now complete and a provisional student entry timetable has already been issued to students in March, together with a letter to parents about exam expectations and a form to sign and return. A letter regarding the Exam Board contingency period for Summer 2019 was also sent out to parents.

The overall general exam timetable is posted below for information, and all student will receive their finalpersonalisedexam timetable immediately after the Easter break. These timetables will include rooming and seating information.
Summer 2019 Exam timetable EA – GCSE & GCE
Summer 2019 - End of year Pre Public Exams - Year 7, 8 9 & 10.
Year 7 & 8– All subjects which will take place in lessons from around 3rdJune 2019 onwards run by teaching staff.
Year 9 & 10– EnglishMathsand Science timetabled and run in exam hall/exam rooms with invigilators and official timetable from Exams Officer.
Year 9 & 10– Option subjects will take place in lessons run by teaching staff.
These PPE’s for Year 9 & 10 will commence during w/c 10thJune and run until Friday 28thJune 2019. Personal exam timetables for these year groups will be issued in May and a copy of the general exam timetable will be posted below for information during the spring term, once specific subject dates are allocated.

Results from this summer’s exams will be available to students on:

Should students require results posting home they need to bring a stamped addressed envelope (with correct postage) to the Exams Officer before the end of term. A small A5 size envelope should be more than adequate.
If you are collecting results on behalf of a student, you mustbring a signed letter of consent from them, to authorise this or we will be unable to release their results.
Results not collected on results day will be available to students at the start of the new term from Monday 2ndSeptember 2019 onwards.
Exam certificatesare delivered to school in the autumn and will be available for formerstudents to collect from reception:
Monday 25thNovember 2019
Friday 29thNovember 2019 - between 12 and 2pm each day.
These will be certificates are for all qualifications taken during the 2018-2019 academic year, at The Elizabethan.
Certificates will be available to collect outside of these time but please phone to arrangea convenient collection time with the Exams Officer first.
ID will be required to collect certificates, and if collecting on behalf of a student, a signed letter of consent from them must be provided.
Currentstudents will be able to collect certificates from the Exams Office at break or lunch on most days, after 29thNovember 2019.
Exam certificates from previous years are still available for any past students but as above please phone to arrange a convenient collection time with the Exams Officer first, and the rules on ID required or letter of consent still apply.
