About the Elizabethan
About
The Elizabethan High School is a County Comprehensive Co-educational day school which admits students from the age range 11-18 years. The total pupil population is approximately 1200, including a Sixth Form run in partnership with another school. The school has recently moved to purpose built premises as part of the Bassetlaw PFI project.
Whilst located in Retford, students are drawn not only from the town, but also from a family of local schools extending into the surrounding villages and towns beyond.

Governance
The school is headed by Ms. L French who joined the school in 2004.
The school governors are chaired by Mr. R Parry.
