Admissions Policy

The Elizabethan Academy will continue to be an inclusive school which serves its local community. Academies manage their own admissions but are still required to work to the same Admissions Code as maintained schools so that the system is fair and parents can choose for their child to come to a good school. 

"Admissions to school as part of the normal admissions round" (in this case, children transferring from Year 6 to Year 7) are handled through the local authority's coordinated scheme, details of which can be found here:

The Elizabethan has now withdrawn from the Local Authority scheme for "In-Year Admissions" (ie admissions at any time other than Year 6 to 7 transfer). Anyone wanting to transfer schools should contact Mr J White, Vice Principal, to arrange a tour of the Academy at
