EHS win the Spacey Foundation Challenge

Emma Clarke and Matthew Sivetar were recently selected to go down to London and spend the day with the Kevin Spacey foundation in a workshop and performance of Richard III at the Old Vic Theatre. They were selected along with pupils from 19 other schools out of more than 250 nationwide that applied. On that day the twenty schools were set a challenge to create our own 2 minute performance of the play and submit a video of the performance to the Foundation where Kevin Spacey watched and selected a winner. 7 of our year 11 students stepped up to the challenge, they went into the centre of town and performed in the main street on a busy Friday afternoon; this performance became their submission. Kevin Spacey chose us as the winners of the challenge and we won 33 tickets to see ‘Playboy of the Western World’ at the Old Vic this term. I’m sure they will be greatly received by my year 11 drama students who have helped with this project! Watch the video
