Core Offer
Extended Services is about providing information on a range of help, support and activities where you live. Schools, communities and agencies work in partnership to provide services. The Elizabethan Family of schools works with the Blue Skies Community Initiative to deliver some of these services across our rural area.

This means…
- Information will be provided about other services you may find useful
- School may set up sessions you want, e.g. parenting groups, positive behaviour support
- Schools will encourage you to be involved in your child’s learning
- Schools will listen to your parenting needs and work with others to provide support
Easy Access to Service
This means….
- Swift and easy access to a wide range of services, some which may be available in school, for example school nurse.
- Schools work with other agencies to ensure you can access services quickly and easily, e.g. speech therapy, sexual health services
- Information is made available through schools about services you might need as a family, e.g. mental health support
Quality Childcare
This means…
- Quality childcare that is available all year round (wraparound) from 8 am to 6 pm.
- This could be offered on site or off site will supervised transport
- Where it is not viable to offer childcare, schools will tell you how to access register childcare locally

Community Access
This means…
- Schools may offer their resources to the community, for example their computers or sports facilities
- Family learning or adult education could be available in school
- The Blue Skies Community Initiative works with schools in the Elizabethan Family to offer activities to rural communities
Activities for Children, Young People and Families
This means…
- A varied menu of activities is offered at school or in partnership with other schools and services
- Some activities could be out of school time, including study support, homework clubs, sport, music, arts, visits
- Schools signpost you to activities during the holidays
- Activities may be provided during the holiday, for example The Blue Skies Holiday Club
- The Elizabethan Family has the "Quality in Study Support" kite mark for this area of work
