Edinburgh Trip - Activities Week 17 - 20 July 2017

We now only have 9 places available on the Edinburgh trip 17 - 20 July 2017.  The trip is open to all students in Years 7 to 9, so in order to secure a place, please complete the reply slip (see letter below) and return it with your deposit (£100) to the finance office by Wednesday 24 May. 'We are the Champions'

Following their success at the Worksop Festival last month, the Academy Choir returned from the Worksop Festival Winners’ Concert at The Crossing, Worksop, where they gave another awesome performance of Viva La Vida and For Good from the hit musical Wicked.

Debating Victory for Year 9 Students

The Elizabethan Academy’s Year 9 Debating Team have returned victorious from the regional heats of the national “Up For Debate” competition.

The team, consisting of Christopher Wass, Daisie Ellis and Connor Bell, along with members of the debating club, had to prepare two topics for the heats, which were held at Manchester Grammar School last Thursday: whether music and videos with discriminatory lyrics should be banned and whether international adoption should be illegal.

Primary Wellbeing Day

Over 180 children from local primary schools attended a Wellbeing Day at the Elizabethan Academy as part of National World Health Day. The children enjoyed a wide range of activities throughout the day all linked to health and mindfulness.

The Elizabethan Academy PTSA would like to say a very big thank you to everyone who helpded us raise £254 during our recent Easter Fundraising Events.
